To our most favorite people we've ever known, you’re here because we chose you. Not out of tradition or obligation, but because you are genuinely important to us and to the lives we’ve built — individually and together.

Each of you has been part of our story in real ways. You’ve shown up, you’ve stayed, you’ve supported us, challenged us, and helped shape who we are. That history is exactly why having you stand with us on the day feels both natural and deliberate.

We’ve looked forward to this moment for a long time, not for the spectacle, but for the meaning of it — to be witnessed by the people we trust as we mark a real shift in our lives. Culture, tradition, and ritual matter to us because they’re what last, and having you there is what gives this day its weight.

We also know this isn’t a small ask. Being part of this wedding means time, energy, planning, travel, outfits, logistics, money, and a lot of love. We see it. We appreciate it. And we don’t take any of it lightly.

Thank you for saying yes, and for being the people we want beside us as we step into what comes next.

A majority of us will meet in Edinburgh and head to the castle together late morning (it’s about a two-hour ride). Others will journey to the castle and meet us there, parking is available on-site. Arrival is planned for 1 p.m., followed by welcome activity to ease into castle life. In the evening, we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner featuring fish and chips, accompanied by some special entertainment. No need to prepare, simply come ready to enjoy.

Breakfast begins the day before we head into the Highland Games—pack your competitive spirit and running shoes. After some recovery time, we’ll come together for the rehearsal (if you're in the wedding party) and rehearsal dinner. Once dinner wraps, the women will join in a meaningful tradition: arranging the wedding florals together, imparting love, intention, and well-wishes into every bloom. And for the guys, how does a whiskey tasting sound?

Wedding Day! You’ll receive a detailed schedule when you arrive at the castle, especially if you’re part of the wedding party or a parent of the bride or groom. After breakfast, the morning is devoted to getting ready throughout the castle before the ceremony begins at 2 p.m. If you’re not in the wedding party, please plan to be in your seats by 1:45 p.m.

Departure day. After our final breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to the castle and head back to Edinburgh (or on to your next adventure). If you joined group transportation to the castle but plan to depart separately (or vice versa), please let us know.

At the end of the night we will do Loch Lomond, the Scottish traditional way to close a wedding that is particularly important to the Groom.

What will happen is ALL guests will be invited onto the dance floor to form a large circle around the Bride and Groom, arms linked and hands crossed. The singing starts softly and builds as the circle sways and voices rise together. It is joyful, loud, little chaotic, and incredibly moving. You do not need to know the words -you will catch on quickly. Just lean in and sing along.

We look forward to this collective send-off, a goodbye to the night, and a symbolic “off you go” into our next chapter.
